Last weekend, I was representing the Ojai Motorcycle Club at the Annual GS Giants March Moto Madness West Event.

Since we spend so much time out there leading GUIDED TOURS and CLUB RIDES, I was the one who best knew the way and ended up leading the four other riders out of SongDog Ranch and into the Carrizo Plain National Monument.

It started to rain and the roads turned into the slimiest of mud. But the guys were all game, even though some bikes were wearing their street tires. We were able to get in an invigorating group workout lifting bikes, thanks to some major puddles, but there’s nothing like the shared experience of a slippery ride to bring everyone together in the love we share of a scenic motorcycle adventure – come rain or shine.

CARRIZO PLAIN ADV MOTORCYCLE RIDE: AWESOME AS USUAL!

Whether it’s part of a guided tour, an organized club ride or just a quick getaway from the work of “writing” about riding and some cobwebs needing to be blown out, we visit this place at least once a month. Each time it’s different and more spectacular than before- whether it’s a colorful ADV motorcycle ride during the WILDFLOWER SEASON, or the semi-desert landscape of the dry season, or when it’s just rolling green after a good rainy season, she never disappoints!

Turn on your speakers, sit back and please enjoy the ride. Then let us know what you think in the comments below.

Join the Club and stay updated on all the adventure, tours, activities & events.
